Phase 1: Choose a Fast Moving Consumer Good (FMCG) to eventually create packaging for. My Choice: Yerba Mate. Demographic: Grandma's Knitting Club Phase 2:Create a story about that can be related to your demographic and drive the design. Create moodboards. My Story: Grandma Georgette's trip to Paraguay and the men who saved her from falling behind by giving her some Yerba Mate. Phase 3: Name the company and create a logo or wordmark. My Choice: Alto - Based off the men who saved her "from on high" (a hill) Phase 4: Research and create the first packaging. My Creation and Dieline: I choose to use a tin can that seals with cork to stay fresher longer. The design was inspired Georgette's trip to Paraguay and the men who helped her out. Phase 5: Portfolio week - Refine the designs, add rollout, and mockup. My Choices: Tea Bag Box. Cafe Menu. Cafe Punch Card - All designed based off of Georgette's trip. The project was completed in 2 weeks along with 5 other projects.
